Miracle Pill for Fitness?

On my plane trip home to Wisconsin, I was reading an article about a new miracle pill that may be able to help with increasing ones endurance without exercise. Are you serious? Why are we so lazy? Come on, do you really think were going to find some drug that will give us life after death? To tell you the truth, probably.

Here's what the article stated, "Scientist at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, CA. found one drug, known as Aicar, increased mice endurance on a tiny treadmill by 44% after 4 weeks of treatment. The addition of a second drug, GW1516, supercharged the mice to a 77% increase in endurance when combined with exercise."

Now this has been only found in mice and not yet humans, so we have some ways to go, but look out, pretty soon we'll all have Lance Armstrong's fitness levels.

Anyway I thought I would share that. Happy Holidays to everyone. Please be safe and enjoy your family and friends.

How to Stop Calcium Depletion

I was on Youtube this afternoon doing some research and I came upon this video. It did such a great job describing the importance of eating/drinking alkaline foods vs acidic foods, I thought I would share. Let me know what you think.

What is the TRX?

TRX suspension has been a new exercise tool that I have incorporated with my clients and their workouts. Suspension training builds superior muscular balance, joint stability, mobility, and core strength helping you perform better in any sport. It also improves posture and prevents injuries.

The TRX was created after years of extensive R&D in the field. Each TRX is created with industrial-quality construction, easy-adjust CAM buckles, club-grade grips with integrated foot cradles for ground-based training.

  1. 1 ½" industrial-grade nylon webbing. Rated tensile strength to 1,250 lbs
  2. Sewn with heavy-gauge bonded nylon thread; double-stitched for strength and durability
  3. Adjustable non-slip CAM buckles rated to 1,250 lbs. each
  4. Club-grade grips and integrated foot cradles with neoprene padding for comfort and action
  5. Sturdy carabineer with locking tooth to ensure safe training for the most demanding users
  6. Adjusts from 6' to 12' in length to accommodate users of all sizes and abilities
    Weight 1.79 lbs
Try the TRX and let me know what you think. I love using new tools and I have to admit this is on the best products that can be used almost anywhere. Check out this video
